We’re Expanding!
It’s been 20 years.
August marks 20 years since Jeremy quit his day-job and started building IMF Counseling full-time. IMF Counseling has always been guided by a “growth model” of therapy focused on our clients moving in positive directions rather than a traditional “medical model” focused on treating the symptoms and not the person. Over 20 years, some functions of our practice have changed. We have moved (several times), expanded, added therapists and groups, trained students, attended and facilitated countless training sessions. However, one thing has never changed. We have maintained the therapeutic relationship we have with our clients as the center of our practice.
We’re expanding!
If you’ve been with us as a client in the past couple years, you know it’s gotten a little bit busier around the office (and in the waiting room!). We feel so honored to be part of so many lives in mid-Missouri and look forward to expanding our services and our availability over the next year.
If you’re a client…
Settle in with us! We will be expanding our current space beginning in January 2025, and all that means for you is a little more breathing room when you’re in the office! One thing we’ve learned over time is it can be hard for you to switch spaces with us. We all have our favorite couch or place in the therapy room or even a preferred restroom! It can feel a little disruptive as we move things around. Rest assured, we’ll do our very best to keep you up-to-date as we transition, and most importantly, the Lifesavers aren’t going anywhere 😉
If you’re a counselor in the mental health field…
We are looking to add therapists to our team! At IMF, we provide individual, couple’s, family, and group therapy, as well as an intensive outpatient program. Our #1 goal for our clients is for them to feel safe and comfortable with us for as long as they are engaged in treatment…and beyond! If you’re looking to join a team of counselors in private practice where you are not just engaged in 1-hour-therapy sessions, but also with ongoing consultation, conversations with family members, getting to know and referring community resources, and providing multiple levels of care in a single setting, please consider applying with IMF Counseling.
How do I apply? Send your resume and cover letter, as well as three references, to [email protected]. Interviewing and hiring will be ongoing for the foreseeable future, so please know our response time may be a little longer than usual.
