Gabrielle Buxman
MEd, Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here! I know that finding a counselor who will be a good fit can seem like an intimidating task, so I hope reading this will help make the process a little bit easier and allow you to learn a little about me.
When it comes to counseling, I believe that there is no “one-size fits all” approach; your counseling journey is uniquely yours and I would love to partner with you in it. My goal is to work alongside you to help you discover and experience the best version of yourself. My hope is that counseling provides you a safe space to navigate the ups, the downs, and the challenges that you may be experiencing in life and know that you are not alone.
I believe in the inherent value of each and every one of my clients and it is a joy of mine to be able to assist them in learning more about who they are and who they want to be. I strive to create a space that allows my clients to feel seen, heard, understood, and safe. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is key and I look forward to working together to help you reach your personal goals.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri in 2020, during this time I was also a member of the Mizzou Women’s Tennis Team. It was through my time as an athlete that I discovered my passion for mental health and counseling. I continued on at the University of Missouri and received my first Masters in Education with an emphasis in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership in 2022. In May of 2024 I graduated with a second Masters, an MEd in Counseling Psychology, also from the University of Missouri.
I am passionate about the work I do and truly believe in the healing and transformative power of counseling. I am excited to meet you soon and begin this journey together!
