Just a heads-up…we have included a “glossory” of-sorts, at the bottom of this page, to help you understand the meaning behind some words you’ll see in this content.
While most of the time in therapy, you’ll find yourself sitting across from your therapist in their office, we know not everyone is comfortable with that format. We also know it is often helpful to experience therapy in different ways. Hence, the Creative Processing Group.
In a small group setting for about an hour and a quarter each week, this group will meet to work through stuck spots, emotional blocks, painful/traumatic memories, and daily functioning challenges. The therapists who lead this group use a variety of different therapeutic approaches including:
- Internal Family Systems
- Timeline Therapy
- Art Therapy (Watercolor and Neurographic Art)
- Interpersonal Processing
This is also a great group to add onto individual, couple’s, or family therapy if you’re looking for a more creative outlet to process emotions and to increase your social outlets.
The Creative Processing Group is an ongoing group with an 8-week commitment during your first round of attending. It can be “bundled” with RPR Group and individual, couple’s, or family counseling for a total of ~4-5 hours/therapy per week, or can be attended without any additional services.
